Strange, Weird, and Insane Laws in New York

New York can be a strange place. Its a big state and the cultural capital of the world, so youre bound to have some strangeness somewhere (or everywhere). Here are some of the strange laws in the State of New York.

It is illegal for a woman to be on the street wearing "body hugging clothing." So she might as well take it off because in New York, a woman may go topless in public, providing it is not being used as a business (i.e., for advertising a company...not that that would make a difference if we looked or not).

A fine for $25 can be levied for flirting. An older version of this law prohibited a man from turning to look at a woman "that way."

New Yorkers cannot greet each other by "Putting ones thumb to the nose and wiggling the fingers."

Ii is illegal to throw a ball at someones head for fun. Does that mean we can aim at other body parts?

In Ocean City, NY, eating while swimming the ocean is prohibited. And once you get out of the ocean, put on your shirt because men cannot go topless in the center of town. Also, if you drink soup, you may not slurp their soup.

In Brooklyn, donkeys are not allowed to sleep in bathtubs.

In Staten Island, you may only water your lawn if the hose is held in your hand.
