Born in 1882 he was conferred the title of Bharati for his poetic talent at a tender age. Bharati emerged as a prolific poet earning the title of Mahakavi, meaning a Good Poet. He died at the age of 39 but in his brief span of lifestyle he experienced manufactured immeasurable contribution to his place and language.

He fearlessly wrote about independence for people as wells as nations becoming influenced by Vande Mataram the patriotic tune by Bankim Chandra. These meetings have injected fearlessness into his writing. Swathesa Geethangal and Janma Bhoomi which he devoted to sister Nivedita are examples of his patriotic tracks and serving the underprivileged and emancipation of women.
