Newton also worked out that some colours such as Violet and Yellow cancel each other and result in white light – these colours are known as complimentary colours. Blue

Green
Green works well for teams that are trying to convey a link with nature. Also Dark Green works well for men’s basketball teams as it’s often associated with masculinity.
Yellow
Yellow is an attention grabbing colour. It can work very well to really make a uniform design stand out. Care must be taken that Yellow is not over used as it’s one of the most difficult colours for the eye to take in and can therefore be overpowering. Purple
Purple is the colour of Royalty and therefore represents luxury and wealth.
